Challenge: Assess and improve financial management practices

The Aspen Institute Financial Security Program faced significant operational and financial management challenges as it sought to support low and moderate-income families in building wealth despite systemic financial inequities. The Programs experienced inefficiencies in grant acquisition, financial reporting, and budget management, leading to operational friction with the broader Aspen Finance Department. There was a critical need for standardized financial statements, improved grant tracking, and more accessible reporting to enable leadership to make informed, strategic decisions and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Outcome: Financial forecasting improvements, new grant/fundraising acquisition efforts, and long-term program delivery efficiencies

TWW Enterprises played a transformative role in strengthening the Aspen Financial Security Program. Starting with a comprehensive financial assessment, TWW identified key inefficiencies and implemented corrective actions, including improvements in financial reports and grant acquisition process. TWW also delivered targeted training, developed a financial management standard operating procedure, and facilitated clearer communication amongst program leaders. As a result, the Program gained enhanced
capacity for strategic growth, fundraising, and impactful program delivery.
